As Principal in Capalino’s Social Impact practice area, Cathleen Collins works with clients in both the corporate and nonprofit sector. She has helped companies develop and implement impactful Corporate Social Responsibility programs including grantmaking, employee engagement and partnership development. Additionally, she assists the firm’s nonprofit clients in securing new funding, navigating government agencies, and planning for future sustainability. Cathleen also manages Capalino’s internal social impact programs, including volunteerism, culture and wellness, and an internship program for college students.
Cathleen joined Capalino in 2014, bringing over a decade of experience in the public sector, with a particular focus on education and youth development. Prior to joining the firm, she served as Chief of Staff at the School of Education at Hunter College, and she previously held several senior positions at the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development during the Bloomberg Administration, where she oversaw the launch of a pilot program in adolescent literacy and managed the agency’s public private partnerships.
Cathleen holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College. She is a graduate of the Coro Leadership New York program and sits on the Board of the Literacy Trust.
