NYC Council Approves the Kingsbridge National Ice Center

 

On December 9th 2013, the New York City Council voted to approve the $320 million proposal to transform the landmark Bronx armory into the Kingsbridge National Ice Center. The 750,000-square-foot ice sports facility will boast nine year-round indoor regulation size ice rinks and a main rink which will accommodate approximately 5,000 people. The redeveloped armory will emerge as the world’s largest indoor ice facility when it opens officially in 2017.  Read the whole article here.
