Capalino Announces Newly Expanded Team and Services

 

Capalino is expanding its services as the leading urban strategy firm, and we are excited to welcome two new members to our team, Paul Leibowitz and Brian Cook. Paul and Brian will be strong additions to Capalino’s leadership, adding their extensive experience to our service offerings in real estate, finance, zoning and economic development. In addition, Emil Lissauer has been promoted to Managing Director focused on permitting and approvals, and Ashley Thompson DiNardo will oversee our lobbying practice.

Capalino has been the go-to strategy firm for real estate development for over 30 years and is a leader in urban real estate investment, development, permitting and entitlements. Paul Leibowitz

Paul has over 25 years of real estate transactional experience, most recently within the Capital Markets Group at Savills as a Senior Managing Director and previously working at CBRE for 20 years, 14 years within the Investment Properties Group. Over his career, Paul has structured $30 billion of real estate transactions for a wide range of clients and across all product types, encompassing investment sales, joint ventures, equity placement, ground leases, and various monetization strategies. Brian Cook

Brian is a policy expert with over 18 years’ experience in New York City zoning, affordable housing construction and economic development. He has experience running community-based planning processes and negotiating zoning changes with elected officials, community groups, and developers. Most recently, he has worked with investment professionals to finance over 51,000 units of affordable housing on behalf of the 5 New York City pension funds.

Emil Lissauer

As Managing Director, Emil is responsible for helping clients navigate the regulatory environment to secure permits, licenses and approvals from City and State agencies to facilitate real estate development. He has an extensive background in working with city government, having previously served as Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management. emil@nullcapalino.com   

Ashley Thompson DiNardo

Ashley has been promoted to oversee Capalino’s lobbying practice, where she will manage an expanded portfolio including some of the most well-known companies and non-profits in New York.
