Job Summary:
Capalino, the leading urban strategy firm, is seeking a growth-oriented Sales Associate to work across multiple practice groups and client engagements. We are experts in cities, combining knowledge in real estate, lobbying, strategic planning, market research, financing, social impact, clean energy, and sustainability.
A Sales Associate of Capalino is generally responsible for client services and is expected to expertly manage and sell client engagements, while also identifying potential new clients, using their skills to ensure our clients’ success and overall satisfaction. The Sales Associate will also work to develop Capalino’s vision and supports the firm’s sales to achieve the organization’s goals. Finally, the Sales Associate is expected to play a meaningful, active, and thoughtful role in the company’s culture looking out for employees and working as a team.
General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Industry Group Leadership and Principals to build a credible opportunity pipeline
- Work with all staff members to advance opportunities through sales pipeline in a timely manner
- Work closely with marketing to support sales campaigns; work closely with Capalino leadership in sales cadence process
- Research target industries and clients
- Engage in ‘cold call’, prospecting, and client outreach activities
- Engage and support all sales efforts particularly in any industry verticals you are involved in.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess customers’ needs, provides assistance, and information
- Follow and achieve Capalino’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Help to drive sales; assist Capalino leadership in achieving sales targets
- Remain knowledgeable on services offered and discuss available options
- Cross sell services; work with existing clients to upsell services
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Build productive trust relationships with customers
- Suggest ways to improve sales (planning marketing activities, strategy sessions, and so on)

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment across client engagements and activities
- Proven work experience as a Sales Associate or similar role

- Familiarity with customer relationship software management solutions (CRM); preferably Hubspot and SalesForce
Specific Responsibilities:

- Familiar with selling professional/consulting services
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related fields
- At least five years of related experience.
