Prior to joining Capalino+Company, Challey Comer spent fifteen years managing sustainability programs in the non-profit, government and private sectors.
As Sustainability Manager at Blue Apron, she developed data tools and operational protocols to manage organic and solid waste across the company’s supply chain. This role also included cross-functional collaboration to advance packaging innovation and company-wide sustainability goals.
Her work in the public sector focused on the development of food industry infrastructure in the New York City region. While Chief of Staff at the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets, she supported the adoption of local procurement policies at the institutional level and served as a board member of Farm to Institution NYS. During her time working as an environmental engineer in the New York City watershed, she specialized in the design and construction of farm-based compost and anaerobic digestion projects.
