Event Management & CoordinationAny event in the City of New York that takes place on City property, requires significant City approvals. This includes securing a Street Activity Permit to operate on a City street, In addition, proper coordination with City Departments of Transportation and Sanitation and the City’s Community Assistance Unit are vital in ensuring a successful and smoothly run event.
Major events also require proper coordination and approval by the City’s Marketing Department, NYC & Company and NYC Big Events.
Capalino+Company works closely with clients in the event industry to ensure that all City permissions are received and that events run smoothly.
Government Procurement: Goods & ServicesNew York City and State governments procure billions of dollars of goods and services from the private sector each year. Capalino+Company are experts in:
- Helping clients prepare responses to government procurement requests; and
- Helping clients formulate and implement a strategy to interest the public sector in new products or services not currently being used by the public sector.

RFP Responses The New York City government issues hundreds of Request for Proposals ("RFPs") every year through its many agencies. These RFPs cover a wide variety of topics, such as leases of industrial or recreational facilities, procurement contracts, funding for services (including culture and education), licensing, and technical services. Over time, the issuance of RFPs is continuing to become more important as a source for City revenues. The competitive nature of the process and the resulting transparency has created a more challenging environment for companies that wish to do business with the City, and has created a continually increasing quality standard for those firms and a more level playing field.
The firm has many years of experience both preparing RFPs and responding to them. Capalino+Company alerts its clients to the issuance of RFPs – often in advance – and walks them through a detailed process that usually results in a winning response. The actual writing and production of Responses is handled by Capalino+Company, allowing Clients to focus on their core business.
