Food and Wine Now Offered on the High Line

Eater NY June 6/29/2011

By Amanda Kludt

Lot on Tap, the beer garden under the High Line on 10th Ave. and 30th St., has been open and serving food truck fare and beer since the opening of the Chelsea park’s second section earlier this month. But what’s even more exciting is the eatery that opened today on the actual High Line. The Porch is a 40 seat outdoor cafe situation around 15th Street, serving food, along with local beers and wines (the food alone can be taken away). It comes from Chelsea Market restaurant The Green Table and features, according to a release, “regional, farm-driven offerings,” including sandwiches (Local cucumber and herb farm butter on miche, for example) and bar snacks. And also, those views.

It’s open from noon – 10 PM.
